All members of the International Youth Federation (IYF) are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct. Staff members serve the Federation in an exclusively international capacity and must perform their duties in the interests of IYF alone.

IYF personnel shall act with independence and impartiality and must not seek or accept instructions from any government or external authority. Staff members are required to respect cultural diversity, uphold human dignity, and promote equality, including gender equality and non-discrimination in all professional interactions.

Integrity is a core value of IYF. Staff members must demonstrate honesty, fairness, and transparency in their work and avoid any abuse of authority. The acceptance of honors, gifts, or remuneration from governments or external entities is strictly regulated and, in most cases, prohibited unless formally approved.

All staff members are expected to exercise discretion and confidentiality regarding official information and may not use such information for personal advantage. Misconduct, failure to comply with IYF rules, or actions inconsistent with international civil service standards may result in disciplinary measures, up to and including termination of appointment.
